The school is configured in four academic wings, each designed for flexible instructional delivery systems such as grade level or departmental organization. There are a total of forty-two classrooms, four science labs, and twelve computer labs. The facility features a full size gymnasium to seat more than 1,400 people, an auxiliary multipurpose gym, and a 600-seat auditorium. Also included are a state-of-the-art media center, vocational education wing, and a kitchen and dining area to accommodate 1/3 of the student body at one time.

Athletic facilities include a full-sized gymnasium, football stadium, and other athletic fields for baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, and track.

The Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) has honored the school as the 2003 People's Choice Award Winner for Best In Show in its annual Architectural Design competition.
