Cumberland Gap High School is designed to serve up to 750 students initially, with future expansion possible to handle up to 1000 students. The 153,480 square feet of space includes 42 teaching rooms, including 10 vocational/technical labs. Also included will be a media center, art, choral, and band rooms, along with an assembly area, physical education spaces, and food service facilities. The school also houses a fully-functional collision repair facility.

Athletic facilities include a full-size gymnasium, football stadium, and other athletic fields for baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, and track.
