This new elementary school in the
Whitwell community of Marion County replaces an existing outdated and
undersized building. Features include 39 new classrooms for grades K-4,
two Resource Rooms, as well as At-Risk, Guidance, and CDC classrooms.
Also included is a gymnasium with a stage, Little Theater, music and art
rooms. The Tennessee School Boards Association
(TSBA) has honored the school as the winner of its Elementary School Division's
2001 School of the Year Award in Architectural Design and The People's
Choice Award for Best In Show.
