This new elementary school in the
Jasper community of Marion County replaced an existing outdated and undersized
building. Included were 39 new classrooms for grades K-4 and two Resource
rooms, as well as At-Risk, Guidance, and CDC classrooms. Also included
was a Gymnasium with a stage, Little Theater, and Music and Art rooms. The Tennessee School Boards Association
(TSBA) has honored the school as the winner of its Elementary School Division's
2003 School of the Year Award in Architectural Design.
