Mr. Welch has had a wide range of responsibilities and experiences since becoming a mechanical engineer in 1969. He has been a part owner of McAmis, Daves, and Welch Engineers, Inc. and the Principal in charge of the mechanical department of West, Welch, and Reed from 1977 to 2000. He is also a co-owner of Cureton Hodges Mechanical Contractors LLC.

His extensive experience has included work on schools, religious facilities, medical, and coomercial projects. He has been involed in both the design and construction services side of business and brings a wealth of talent and experience to any project.

In addition to the school projects, he also has worked on various church projects in Knoxville and throughout Tennessee.
